The dashboard

This page is for everyone. It covers what the dashboard shows, which is a different screen depending on whether you are a coordinator (owner, admin or registered manager) or a support worker.

Both versions are headed with today’s date, read in your organisation’s timezone.

Owners, admins and registered managers (and the two read-only roles, Office and Inspector) get the first screen of the working day: what is going wrong now, what is waiting on you, and what the week looks like.

At the top, above everything else. It reads Nobody is late right now, or counts the visits that are late, and turns red when the count is not zero. It refreshes by itself every minute, so it is safe to leave open on a second screen.

A visit counts as late fifteen minutes after its start time with nobody checked in (the organisation can change the fifteen under Settings, Timings), including a visit nobody was assigned to. Open today’s timeline takes you to the rota in day view on today.

The things only a coordinator can answer. Rows appear only when the count is not zero, so an empty card reads Nothing is waiting:

  • Alerts waiting to be acknowledged, with Open alerts.
  • Leave requests to decide, with Open leave.
  • Rota suggestions to review, with Review. The line underneath names the first few. Review opens every waiting suggestion in one dialog, stepped by what the rota would do (cancel visits, fill open places, swap people), with one Apply at the end.

Three counts, each a link into the rota already filtered to those visits:

  • Need attention this week, which turns red when it is not zero.
  • Visits with nobody assigned, also red when it is not zero. It opens the rota on the workers axis.
  • Unpublished changes, which never turns red. It is a reminder, not a problem.

The card is hidden entirely when there is nothing to suggest. When there is, each row says what happened and what the platform would do about it: how many places it would fill, and how many visits it would cancel. Review opens the suggestion so you can see every cancellation, fill and swap before you apply it, or put it away. Rota suggestions covers this in full.

Support workers get today, and nothing they cannot act on. The line under the date says how many visits you have today, and My week at the top right opens your whole week.

The Next visit card comes first: the client, the time and the address, with the same Check in and Check out buttons the visit itself has, so the day can start from here. Once you have checked in it says you are at the door. When nothing is left it says so.

The You card is two rows. The first says whether you are on call now and until when, or when your next stretch starts, or “Not on call”; it opens your own page, where your on-call days live. The second shows your leave, “4 of 25 days used this year” once the organisation has set an allowance, and how many requests of yours are awaiting approval; it opens the leave page.

The Today card lists your visits, the next one first. Each row shows the client, the start and end times, and, once you have checked in, the time you arrived. On the right is either a badge saying Next or Later, or the visit’s state: arrived, delivered or missed. Press Open (or the row itself on a phone) to go to that visit and record it.

If you have nothing on, the card says so.

Support workers do not see the late banner, the waiting-on-you card, the week counts or the rota suggestions. Those are coordinator work.
