Settings
This page is for owners and admins. It covers what sits under settings and who can change what.
Who can open settings
Section titled “Who can open settings”Settings is coordinator work. Owners, admins and registered managers see the Settings group in the navigation (an inspector sees only the audit trail in it); support workers do not, and typing the address sends them back to their dashboard.
One thing is the owner’s alone: the organisation’s name. An admin opening the organisation settings page sees a line saying so, rather than the field. The operating fields (week start, open days, opening hours and timezone) are owners, admins and registered managers alike.
Destroying a client record is also the owner’s alone, and that lives on the retention report rather than in settings.
The pages
Section titled “The pages”- Organisation: the name, the day your week starts on, which days you are open, the hours the day view shows, and your timezone.
- Holidays: the dates the whole organisation stops.
- Audit trail: every change and every read, searchable. It has its own page under Compliance.
Not in settings
Section titled “Not in settings”Two things people look for in settings and will not find there:
- Team and roles is its own top-level page, Team, because adding somebody is day-to-day work rather than configuration.
- Your own profile is under your photo, top right, as My profile. It belongs to you, not to the organisation’s settings.
Your light or dark theme is not a setting either. It is the sun and moon button in the header, and it cycles light, dark, and whatever your device asks for. The same button sits on the front page beside Sign in, and a choice made there carries inside.
